Helicopter used in search for assault suspect
THE POLICE used a helicopter to search for a suspect following an assault.
Officers made use of the helicopter as they scoured the Hedge End area following reports of domestic abuse at a house in the community.
At around 10pm, a national police helicopter joined colleagues from Hampshire Constabulary as they scoured the area for the suspect, a 22-year-old man.
After more than four hours of searching they found and arrested the man.
A spokesman said he is currently being questioned by detectives.
