A MAN who disturbed burglars raiding his house was threatened with a knife by one of them and sprayed with a noxious substance by another.

Now police have release images E-fit images in a bid to track the suspects down.

The 50-year-old victim had initially heard noise from the upstairs of his home in Hill View Road in Hythe at about 10pm.

When he went to investigate he discovered two men searching the master bedroom and lounge.

He told police he was then threatened with a knife while a third man squirted the unknown liquid at him from a bottle before all the men left.

The victim was left with a slight abrasion from an unknown weapon. But nothing is believed to have been taken.

One of the suspects is 20 to 30 years old, 6ft, stocky build, chubby features, short dark hair, and tanned complexion.

He was wearing a big padded coat and a balaclava. A second man was 25 to 30, 6ft 2ins tall and with an angular long slim face and some stubble.

He spoke with a foreign accent, described as possibly eastern European. He was wearing a big padded coat and a balaclava.
