POLICE appealed for witnesses after three men fled the scene of a burglary in Bishop’s Waltham.

The gang is thought to have committed four raids on the same day in the Meon Valley last week.

The incident occurred between midday and 2.55pm on Thursday, June 19 at a house on Dundridge Lane.

A silver Ford Focus was parked nearby and three men were seen to flee empty handed and drive away.

On the same day three other burglaries occurred in the area. These are being linked.

Between 8.45am and 5pm a house in Curdridge Lane, Waltham Chase, was targeted. Two watches were stolen – an Oris Diverdate with a black face and a Tissot with a blue face and blue leather strap.

Entry was also forced into homes on Webbs Green and Long Road in Soberton. Jewellery was stolen from one but nothing from the other.

Contact Det Sgt Marcus Baker at Winchester police station by calling 101.
