A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after crashing on a Hampshire main road.
The rider came off his bike on the A31 between the B3047 Alresford Road and the B3401 Percy Hobbs Roundabout at Chilcomb at 5.20pm tonight.
He is being treated for what are thought to be serious but not lifethreatening injuries.
The road was blocked for more than an hour while the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance landed and police cleared the wreckage.
No other vehicles were involved and the road opened by 6.45pm.
