FOUR people had to be cut free from a car after it hit a deer and crashed into a fence.
The incident happened on the A31 near Stoney Cross as the vehicle, a grey Toyota land cruiser, was heading towards Lyndhurst on the westbound carriageway when it hit the animal.
It spun ending up facing the wrong wayand went into the fence.
Fire crews from Lyndhurst, Burley, Totton and Redbridge all attended the scene where the vehicle the car had wire caught around it which was preventing the four occupants of the vehicle from getting out.
They were cut free and taken to Southampton General Hospital following the incident shortly after 1am this morning.
Police said there were only minor injuries.
The deer was killed.
