A WOMAN had to freed from her car after it went out of control and rolled over on a Hampshire motorway.

The incident happened on the J13 Eastleigh slip road of the northbound M3 at around 6.45am this morning.

The blue Vauxhall Corsa had come off the road rolled over and righted itself, ending up in bushes.

The driver, a 23-year-old local woman, had to be put on a board to get her out of the car by firefighters from Eastleigh.

She was taken to Southampton General Hospital with head injuries, according to the ambulance service.

Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

One lane of the slip road was closed while the vehicle was recovered, but it was cleared by 8.15am.
