Town's food bank has fed 8,000 people
A HAMPSHIRE food bank has fed more than 8,000 people.
The Eastleigh Basics Bank marked the milestone by receiving a donation of £1,000 towards the scheme from Eastleigh Lions.
Eastleigh Lions volunteer and new president Wayne Irish handed over the money.
Dan Brain, chairman of the Eastleigh Basics Bank, said: “We never imagined supporting so many people at their time of need.”
