City residents happy to do it themselves
WHEN it comes to doing DIY jobs Southampton residents are among the top in the country according to a survey.
The research by insurance giant Zurich revealed that Southampton is second in the UK, behind Edinburgh for people thinking themselves as “handy Andys”.
It surveyed 2,000 British homeowners and revealed that a quarter of people donning the hammer and screwdriver in the city are costing themselves more money by doing botch jobs.
