THE HOURS of rehearsals and practice paid off for the cast and crew of a school production in Southampton.

Friends, family and the community of Oasis Academy Mayfield packed out the Ashley Crescent school to watch their production of Alice in Wonderland.

The family classic which played to a packed audience on both Thursday and Friday night featured a cast of Mayfield students, and was directed by Mayfield students alongside staff.

A school spokesman said: “It’s been a huge team effort.”
