Police have issued a plea after a man stole a gold pocket watch from a Hamspshire jewellers.
Officers have appealed for witnesses who were in the Waverley Walk area of Andover at about midday on Tuesday, July 1.
Police are investigating after a man stole a gold pocket watch worth £3,500, from David Mellor Jewellers.
The man is described as white, aged in his mid 20s and had blond shaved hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and khaki-coloured shorts.
PC Amanda Wallis said: “Did you see this man in the area of David Mellor Jewellers?
“The theft happened at about 12.20pm and it’s believed the man ran off in the direction of Waterloo Court.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered a gold pocket watch for sale.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Wallis at Andover Police Station on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
