MORE than 1,000 people joined Romsey’s first citizen Peter Hurst for the traditional mayor’s picnic in the town’s memorial park.
Picnic-goers lapped up the warm sunshine that blessed them during the event, which was jam-packed with entertainment.
This included the traditional duck races on the River Test, performances by Southampton Ukulele Jam, Michelmersh Training Band, Mountbatten School Big Band and Mountbatten School Community Choir.
The Rotary Club of Romsey Test organised the picnic.
