Plans for solar farm in Forest
PROPOSALS for a solar farm in the New Forest are due to go before planners next Tuesday.
Hive Energy has asked the National Park Authority (NPA) for permission to build a 6.7-hectare facility at Durley Farm in Pound Lane, Colbury.
Members of the NPA’s planning and development committee are being urged to reject the application.
It follows objections from the New Forest Association and the Commoners’ Defence Association, which says the site is used as backup grazing land.
