A COUPLE have named their baby girl after their favourite Hampshire hotel.

Amy and Tim Harvey love Tylney Hall Hotel and Gardens so much that they have decided to call the latest addition to their family Tylney Jayne after the four star retreat.

The luxury country house resort is particularly close to their hearts because it was the place where Tim proposed to Amy in 2011 during a romantic walk around the beautiful gardens.

Mum Amy, said: “Tylney Hall Hotel is close to our hearts. Choosing a name for our daughter took a lot of thought and my husband, Tim, first suggested Tylney as a name at Christmas when we were discussing possibilities.

“We wanted something unique and special so Tylney is perfect for us.”

To mark the special honour the hotel in Rotherwick has gifted little Tylney Jayne, who was born on June 19, with a special Tylney rabbit cuddly toy and her parents, who also have an 11-year-old daughter Mia, with a complimentary overnight stay.

Mark Robinson, general manager, added: “We are delighted to hear that Mr and Mrs Harvey have chosen such a special and individual name for their new born daughter.

“We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to them and their family and look forward to meeting baby Tylney very soon.”

The hotel, which includes 112 bedrooms, an award winning restaurant, and boasts the longest uninterrupted view in Hampshire, is originally named after the Tylney family who owned a vast acreage extending into several neighbouring parishes as far as Rye farm beyond Odiham.
