HAMPSHIRE villagers have kept alive their traditional summer festivities.
The people of Swanmore in the Meon Valley turned out in force to support the annual carnival and summer fete yesterday.
A colourful procession, on a World Cup-inspired theme of 'Nuts about Brazil' wound its way through to the village recreation ground.
If the weather was not quite fitting for the beaches of Rio it was much better than the predicted wet weekend.
The event was organised by the Meon Valley Lions and Swanmore Parish Council.
