A HAMPSHIRE charity is celebrating after receiving a major cash boost.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association Portsmouth and South East Hants group were granted £20,000 by boat designers CTruk in memory of naval architect Nigel Warren.
Nigel designed ferries and boats over a 50-year career including Red Jets used between Southampton and the Isle of Wight and the world’s fastest catamaran, the SWATH.
He died of progressive bulbar palsy, a form of MND, in 2011 aged 68.
