A SUSPECTED drug dealer was evicted from a block of flats following a flurry of complaints of antisocial behaviour from neighbours.

Police officers swooped on Atherley Road, Shirley, Southampton, to remove the man, threatening to break his door down before he eventually opened it.

They were forced to muzzle a large barking dog when the occupant opened his door, before carrying out a search of the property earlier today.

The police and Hyde Housing Association teamed up to remove the man from his property after a court order had been secured for an eviction.

PC Wendy Rogers, beat officer for Shirley, said any residents with complaints about neighbours should notify police.

She said: “We would encourage people to report to us any suspicious behaviour.”
