A HAMPSHIRE teenager chopped off her long locks to bring a smile to the faces of young cancer patients.

Rebecca Man braved the scissors as she generously donated her flowing hair to the Little Princess Trust for it to be used to make a wig for a child who has lost their hair due to cancer.

The 18-year-old entrusted Lisa Hicks, who runs Hixys and Mac Hairdressing, in Chandler’s Ford, to do the honours – lopping off her pigtails which were around 25 inches long.

The hair will now be sent off to the charity and made into wigs. Lisa also regularly cuts wigs for patients for free, asking that they simply make a donation to charity.
