They said Southampton?

Mind you neither itchen Valley or Royal Victoria are in Southampton so taking them out the 10 things to do are actually 7 things.

Daily Echo, never letting facts get in the way of a storey.

1. Since they moved the playpark it is too small, too near traffic congestion and certainly too near noisy roadworks. Wouldn't make my list at the moment even for the ice cream.
5. All very well to pay to go in the playpark but for regular play for a small child i prefer Jack's Corner which was being dug up 2 weeks ago. So since the play area was the main reason for going there we will find other parks.
7. Is the paddling pool actually open? My neighbour told me it had been shut for repairs when she took her grandson not long ago.

If you read it, you'd realise I described them as "nearby" country parks, and it's unlikely people will refuse to consider them as they happen to be a few hundred yards past the city limits.

Yes they are close to the City borders, but is the common's paddling pool open yet - not on my drive past to find out list? When will the free playpark at the Sports centre reopen. Has anything been done yet to make the old paddling pool area look (and smell) better than it did ealrlier this year?. They may be things to do but ....................

I would advocate going on an historic tour of the town with a guided walk from the Bargate. I went on one yesterday and we went into several vaults where the temperature was a very cool 12 degrees. The are run everyday at 11 from the south side of the Bargate. I thought it was £4 well spent and my little lad went free.

Pfffft. People don't read the stories, they read the headlines, then rush straight to the comment section to spout negative claptrap all day!
