A BLAZE that engulfed a Hampshire shed, destroying more than £2,000 worth of items is being investigated by Hampshire police.

As previously reported, Adrian Lemarechal woke up to find the shed at the bottom of his Millbrook home, in Southampton, on fire, with flames spreading to the fence and trees.

Mr Lemarechal, 46, was in his flat in Blyth Close, with his girlfriend Jennifer Hunt, and children, Ryan, 11, Summer, ten, Adrian Jr, seven, and one-year-old Sapphire, when the blaze took hold in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The shed was destroyed, damaging tools, motorbike pieces, DJ speakers and his children’s bikes.

An investigation by Hampshire Fire and Rescue has ruled out arson but has passed the incident over to police, who are treating it as criminal damage.
