TALENTED young people are needed to be part of its world premiere production The Saints, a new play about the highs and lows of being a Southampton Football Club fan.

The exciting opportunity to act in The Nuffield's professional stage production will require volunteers to perform as part of the show during its run at the specially built pop-up venue in Guildhall Square in Southampton city centre.

Organisers are looking for children aged eight and over who are available for performances between Friday August 1 and Saturday August 16. They must also be able to attend some rehearsals from Thursday July 31.

Anyone interested should email community producer Sharon Lawless at Sharon.Lawless@nuffieldtheatre.co.uk for more information.

This newly commissioned play, written by Luke Barnes and directed by Matthew Dunster, highlights the pivotal role of football within regional cities across the country.

It will be performed in The Nuffield Playing Field in a temporary 450-seat theatre that is currently taking shape in Guildhall Square, Southampton.
