A FORMER school in Southampton could be knocked down to make way for homes.
A proposal to build 32 homes on the site of Ridgeway School and Prospect House in Freemantle Common Road has been handed to the city council.
The site has been earmarked for housing by the council, after the closure of both the school and Prospect House, which used to be a resource centre for adults with learning difficulties.
Developer Taylor Wimpey wants to build eight flats and 24 houses at the site.
Council planners are due to make a decision on the proposal by October 22.
