A FIRE investigation is underway today after ‘explosions’ rocked a Hampshire residential street.
Two explosions were heard as a fire broke out in a home in Cambridge Road in Lee-on-Solent.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said three crews from Gosport, Fareham and Portchester used breathing apparatus and four jets as they battled the blaze.
The fire began in a wooden workshop at the back and spread to the house.
But fire-fighters managed to contain the fire, with slight damage caused to the roof.
No-one was injured.
The fire began about 5pm yesterday and was out by 6.45pm.
