Youngsters could have their careers kick-started thanks to a competition on a jobs forum.
Leisurejobs has launched a competition to win £4,000 worth of fitness instructor training and an internship at LA Fitness, David Lloyd or Fitness First.
The competition has been set up to help people qualify as fitness instructors and launch a career in a gym.
They are asking for people to create a short video that shows off a sports-related skill or talent and submit it by July 31.
The videos are then judged by a panel from each of the three gyms.
A spokesman said: “It gives anyone the chance to be noticed by a major UK gym chain.
“This competition is an exciting pilot scheme that will help change the future of fitness recruitment.”
The competition was launched by Leisurejobs, which supports jobseekers looking to work in health and fitness, hotels and hospitality, spa and beauty and travel and tourism.
