A SOUTHAMPTON man was found with hundreds of pictures of children - just nine days after he had received a suspended sentence for a similar offence.
Police making a check on Robert Young discovered he had downloaded about 1,500 images of youngsters whose ages ranged from five to 13, the city crown court heard.
Young, of Arthur Road, Shirley, appeared for sentence the day after his 67th birthday for possessing the material which he had admitted.
Judge Peter Ralls QC jailed him for 10 months and activated six months of the original eight month term sentence to run consecutively.
