A CYCLIST has been thrown from his bike in a hit and run incident.
The 24-year-old, from Southampton, was travelling along Allington Lane, between Fair Oak and West End, when the collision with a black car happened.
Both were heading towards Fair Oak when the car overtook the cyclist and hit the offside handlebar, causing the rider to fall off.
The car did not stop.
The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance with back and neck pain.
Anyone who saw the incident, at the junction with Quob Lane at about 9.20am on Saturday, can call police on 101.
