AS hot as Hawaii, as boiling as Bermuda, and more sizzling than Spain.

Hampshire roasted in soaring temperatures yesterday as the mercury reached highs of 27C.

Global weather checks registered temperatures of 27C in Honolulu, Hawaii, and 28C in the Bermudan capital of Hamilton.

Barcelona could only muster a high of 24C and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was cooler still at 23C.

The summer heatwave has seen business booming across Hampshire and people have been flocking in their thousands to fairs and outdoor events throughout the month.

But make the most of wearing flip-flops and devouring ice lollies, as weather forecasters predict that the sunshine is set to disappear for the time being by the end of the week.

It will remain hot but cooler today and tomorrow as temperatures drop an average of a couple of degrees, but rain is forecast for Friday and Saturday.

DON’T forget to enter our summer selfie competition!
