A SOUTHAMPTON man has been killed in a road accident in the Caribbean.
Quinton Garrathy died after being struck by a car on the island of St Lucia yesterday (Sun).
The 38-year-old had arrived on the island as a crew member on board a Virgin Atlantic jet on Saturday.
The dad of one had been trying to cross a road near the Rodney Bay Marina when he was hit by a black Hyundai SUV.
The driver of the car was questioned by police before being released having given a statement.
Investigations are continuing.

A Virgin Atlantic spokesman said:
“Virgin Atlantic can confirm crew member, Quinton Garrathy was involved in a fatal accident in St Lucia on Sunday 3rd August, 2014.
"This is a very difficult time for the crew member’s family and our heartfelt condolences go out to all who knew him.
"Quinton will be missed by all his friends and colleagues at Virgin Atlantic who are deeply saddened by this news.”
