THIS is how Southampton cruise ship, Aurora will look when she sails back up Southampton Water after undergoing a £26m refit later this year.
The most dramatic change in the ship's appearance will be the addition of a contemporary version of the Union Flag on her bow and a new blue funnel with illuminated rising sun designs.
While in Hamburg, Germany from November 29 to December 18, Aurora's interior will also see wide-ranging revamp which will transform the ship's cabins, restaurants, library, theatre, show lounge and casino.
P&O Cruises marketing director Christopher Edgington said: “This is a massive investment. It's all part of our ongoing commitment to ensure continuous improvement of our ships and consistency across the fleet.
“Both Ventura and Arcadia underwent huge multi-million pound refits last year and Aurora is the next in line with Azura planned for 2015.”
