A MAN has come forward following an appeal for information after bikes were stolen from Hampshire stations.

The British Transport Police issued pictures of a man they would like to speak following incidents in which three bikes totalling £1,500 were taken from Southampton Central and Fareham stations.

This happened between June 23 and July 3 when the owner had left their bikes secured to racks on the station platforms to go to work but found them gone when they returned.

A British Transport Police spokesman said following the appeal a man has come forward and they would be talking to him later this week in relation to the thefts.
