MOTORISTS are facing lengthy delays this morning as a tanker blocks a busy Hampshire road.

The vehicle had broken down on the A31 in Ringwood after losing two of its wheels, blocking both lanes.

It broke down about three quarters of a mile east of Ashley Heath, over the bridge over the River Avon.

The vehicle has now been cleared and both lanes are open again.

Why does the Echo always refer to the A31 in the headline as 'a busy Hampshire road'? Why not refer to it as the A31 so that readers don't have to waste time to drill down to the story unless they think it will affect them?

And they've cleaned up the name of the photo. You used to be able to hover over the photo & it would give some hint as to the location. Not fair! :-)
