POLICE are investigating a mobile phone scam which has targeted Hampshire guesthouses and B&Bs.
A conman has been ordering dozens of mobile phones with contracts set up using unknowing victim’s details and had them delivered to bed and breakfasts and guesthouses across the south.
More than 20 b&bs and guesthouses across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire have already contacted police in the last five months.
The conman checks in, collects the parcels and then leaves, usually without staying the night.
Police are urging B&B and guesthouse owners to be vigilant and contact them if they experience a similar situation.
