GREEN-fingered teens dug deep to support people with visual impairments.
The 15 youngsters have created a sensory garden for Hampshire sight loss charity Open Sight.
They raised £150 by facepainting at Finkley Down Farm in Andover to buy plants which can be touched by the blind and partially sighted people who visit the Bishopstoke-based charity.
The group, including 16-year-olds Lauren Gover, Mollie Power, Michael Pullen, Mogashnie Moodley, Holly Kendal, Cara Young, Courtney Dando, Rebecca Mugford, Charlotte Hammond, Chloe Batford, Samuel Clarkson, Abi Buckland, Isla Bradbury and leaders Sophie Dear and Ross Keir, spent four days working in the charity’s gardens.
They chose to support Open Sight as they take part in their National Citizen Service, a scheme to help 15 to 17-year-olds build confidence and skills.
