A WOMAN is fighting for her life after being hit by a car in Hampshire.
She was hit by a Ford Fiesta near Bursledon at about 4.30am on Saturday.
She was taken to Southampton General Hospital with “life-threatening injuries” after the collision, which happened near to the junction of West End Road and Peewit Hill, close to the Windhover Roundabout.
People living nearby told the Daily Echo they heard a “commotion” and “screaming” coming from one of the houses in West End Road in the hours leading up to the collision.
The driver of the Fiesta was not arrested.
The road was closed for about four hours while police carried out their investigations at the scene.
