PLANS for homes close to a historic house in Fareham are to go to appeal.
Proposals for four period-style detached three-storey houses that would sit on land to the rear of Blackbrook Grove, a Grade II listed building, were rejected by Fareham Borough Council.
But they will now go before a Government appointed inspector after the owners of Blackbrook Grove appealed.
It will be decided on written arguments.
The site forms a buffer zone between the grounds of Fareham College and Blackbrook Grove, formerly Bishopswood, an early 19th century bungalow.
