A competition for budding film-makers is coming to Eastleigh.
As part of the Eastleigh Film Festival, which runs from September 22-27, one film-maker could win a residency in the purpose-built Creation Space at The Point in Eastleigh, with professional mentoring as well as prizes to support film making.
The festival aims to create opportunities for the screening and production of inspirational and innovative new work, and encourages film makers of all abilities.
It is supported by Winchester City Council and is open only to Winchester district residents. Submissions can be any genre, production style or technique including animation, documentary, experimental or non-narrative, and must be no longer than six minutes, produced after January 1, 2013.
The closing date for applications is 4pm on August 29. Entries will be judged by an expert panel, selected for screening at the festival, and then a winner announced at a special event on September 25. For more information or to complete a submission form, go to eastleighfilmfestival.com.
