THOUSANDS of pounds worth of sunglasses were stolen in a smash and grab raid on a Hampshire store.
Police are appealing for information after the sunglasses were stolen in a burglary in Totton at around 11.20pm on Monday.
The gang targeted Clapham Eyecare, in Totton Precinct, using a large metal drain cover to smash the window to get inside.
Once inside they then smashed a display cabinet and took approximately 60 pairs of Oakley sunglasses valued at £3,375.
PC Vicki Tomkins said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this burglary to make contact with us as soon as possible.
“Were you in the vicinity of Totton Precinct on Monday night? Did you see anything suspicious? I would also like to speak to anyone who has been offered any Oakley sunglasses for sale at a reduced cost.”
