Police are investigating a burglary where more than £7,000 worth of property was reported stolen in a house burglary near Andover.

The break-in took place at an address in the High Street in Shipton Bellinger between 3pm and 3.55pm on Saturday, August 16, 2014.

Jewellery, engagement rings, military medals, and electrical goods such as a 32-inch screen television were among the items taken.

Canvas holdalls with a leather trim, a small glass bowl with leather trim, jumpers, a dog's collar, and broached pearl necklaces were also reported stolen.

One line of enquiry is the use of a vehicle to take such a large amount of stolen property away from this address within one hour.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact the Priority Crime Unit at Basingstoke police station by phoning 101.

Mini-com users can phone 18001 101. Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
