A HAMPSHIRE police officer is switching his uniform for the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood tux for charity.
First it was Hawaiian beach shirts, now its bow ties and ball gowns – Luke Ashley is on a mission to help the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The 35-year-old is preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro next year in aid of the charity which he sees saving lives every day.
And in doing so, the firearms officer, who is based in Winchester, will be hosting a ‘Night at the Movies’ fancy dress party at the Orange Rooms in Southampton and invites everyone to come in their smartest get-up.
The dad-of-one said: “It’s a chance for everyone to have a good knee’s-up. Pick any movie, any character and have fun with the costume.
“I see what this charity does all the time and I can’t think of a better way to spend your money than to help save a life.”
The event is on Friday, September 19 from 8pm and tickets will cost £5 – all going to charity.
