Financial boost for festival
A FESTIVAL promoting the best Wickham has to offer has been given a financial boost.
Taste of Wickham success-fully applied for a Big Lott-ery Fund grant and will receive £2,000.
The festival takes place in the medieval square on September 14 from 10am to 4pm featuring local producers, restaurants, shops, salons and services.
The grant will pay for the cookery demonstration, Park and Ride and the toilets.
More than 45 stalls will line the perimeter of the square and there will be live music, dance, cookery demonstrations and children’s activities. Entry is free and the event is also being sponsored by local businesses.
