A MAJOR police manhunt is underway after two burglars were caught raiding a Hampshire home by the owner.

Hampshire Constabulary's dog unit and the police helicopter have been called into action this afternoon after the woman returned to her home in Old Lyndhurst Road, Cadnam, to find the two thieves inside.

The duo quickly fled the property, just before 1.30pm, but officers are now carrying out an extensive search of the area, while speaking to witnesses.

It is understood that they have located one of the suspects but the other is still on the run.

More as the story develops.

Must have been quite a frightening experience coming home to find burglars in the house in broad daylight. Hope the victim gets justice if the 2 suspects go to court and they don't get away with just a slap on the wrist..
