A WOMAN arrested in connection with the murder of a Hampshire mum of five has been charged with assisting an offender.

Leanne Doyle, of Beech Crescent, Hythe, was charged on Monday but the Daily Echo has been unable to report this due to reporting restrictions.

Hampshire police and the Crown Prosecution Service went to court on Monday to apply for an order under Section 4 of the Contempt of Court Act.

This stopped the media being able to report anything to do with the proceedings relating to Doyle and the fact that she had been charged.

The 24-year-old, who has also been charged with intending to pervert the course of justice, was arrested over the weekend by detectives hunting for the murderer of Pennie Davis, who was found stabbed to death in Beaulieu.

Pennie's husband, Pete, made the gruesome discovery last Tuesday afternoon, at the paddock by Leygreen Farm where she had been tending to her four horses.

Last night officers arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of murder following an extensive manhunt that saw armed police descend on communities close to where Pennie lived and worked in Blackfield.

He is currently in police custody, being questioned by murder squad detectives.

A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed until November 3 and a 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was bailed until October 23.
