A SOUTHAMPTON man has denied the murder of a pensioner on a city street in the summer.
Paul Humphries, 35, of Morris Road, Polygon, pleaded not guilty to the murder of John Willdig, 70, of Nelson Road, Freemantle.
Mr Willdig was stabbed to death in Morris Road on June 23.

Humphries, wearing a grey sweatshirt and trousers, made a ten-minute appearance at Winchester Crown Court this afternoon.
A provisional date for the trial is December 1 but the trial is was more likely to start on March 2 2015.
He was remanded into custody by the Recorder of Winchester, Judge Keith Cutler.
