Fire crew tackles blaze at golf club
FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze that destroyed a ride-on mower at the South Winchester Golf Club at Pitt, near Winchester, at 7.20am yesterday.
A mechanical fault caused the fire in the diesel cutter, which was on the fourth fairway.
One crew from Winchester fire station tackled the fire with a high-pressure hose.
No one was hurt.
