DETECTIVES hunting three hooded thieves who threatened a young couple in their own home in Southampton have released e-fits of two of them.

The trio smashed their way into the flat in Abercrombie Gardens, Lordshill, to the horror of the 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman who were inside.

The pair were threatened by the gang, who demanded property, before fleeing with £60 in cash around 15 minutes later.

All three men were wearing dark hooded tops and had got inside by forcing open the front door.

Fortunately no one was injured in the incident, which happened at around 10.30pm.

Detective Constable Martin Brewer said: “We have e-fit images of two of the men involved. Do you recognise them? Do you think you know who they could be?

“We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles in the area around the time of the burglary.”

Anyone with any information about the burglary, which happened on September 2, should contact DC Brewer, at Shirley police station, on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
