Inquest into pensioner's crash death
THE inquest has opened into the death of a pensioner who was in collision with a bus in Totton.
George Ackrill, 83, of Beaulieu Road, Dibden Purlieu, died after the collision near the Rushington Roundabout on Thursday, September 11.
The bus driver, a 41-year-old woman from Totton, was arrested and bailed until January 16, 2015, pending further enquiries.
Senior coroner Grahame Short, sitting in Winchester, adjourned the hearing.
