NO ONE has answered an appeal for witnesses following a six-year-old girl being injured cycling into cabling deliberately tied across a park path.

Police launched an investigation after the incident which left the girl with a badly bruised throat after the brake cabling caught around her neck and pulled her from the bike.

She had been out on her bike with her grandparents when she rode into the wire at at Wheatlands Park, in Titchfield Common, between 4.10pm and 4.55pm on August 14.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said the appeal had not produced any response and all lines of enquiry had now been pursued based on the information available at this time, but said the case had not been closed.
