There’s a chance to tour one of the Test Valley’s most distinctive houses over the next week.
Houghton Lodge and Gardens has organised two house tours – on Saturday, October 4, and Friday, October 10.
The stunning 18th century cottage orné (decorated cottage), set above the River Test, is a Grade II Historic House.
The house, owned by the Busk family, was built in 1793 and probably intended as a fishing lodge.
Tours will start at 11am with registration in the Tea House from 10.30am onwards.
Tickets cost £12 per person and include access to the gardens. Pre-booking is essential on 023 8000 1655 or info@houghtonlodge.co.uk
