A CRASH involving three cars closed part of a Hampshire motorway this evening.
A stretch of the eastbound carriageway of the M27 between junction 5 at Eastleigh and junction 7 at Hedge End was closed for two hours following the incident.
The crash involved a grey Peugeot, a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a black BMW.
Cars were diverted off the motorway at junction 5 causing delays in the surrounding area as motorists follow diversions.
South Central Ambulance Service has confirmed that they were called at 8.50pm following reports of a collision involving three or four vehicles.
The driver of the Corsa was assessed at the scene and taken to Southampton General Hospital with minor injuries.
Two other people were assessed but did not need to go to hospital.
The accident has caused damaged to the barrier.
The carriageway reopened just before 11pm once it has been swept clear of debris.
