“IT’S going to be bigger and better than ever”.

That’s the message from organisers of this year’s Daily Echo-backed Southampton Round Table #4 Annual Charity Fireworks Display.

The event will be held at Mayflower Park in Southampton on November 8 and will feature a spectacular display and fantastic entertainment.

This year’s theme is the Big Bang – and organisers promise the loudest bangs and brightest sparkles in the Southampton night sky.

Every year the event attracts thousands of spectators and raises thousands of pounds for charities across Hampshire.

This year marks the sixth year of displays organised by Southampton Round Table #4.

Between 10,000 and 15,000 people are expected to turn out on the waterfront while an estimated 8,000 people watch the traditional display from outside of the event grounds.

The event starts at 3pm and visitors can enjoy a variety of fairground rides while entertainment will be provided by Wave 105 DJs.

All beneficiaries from the money raised have yet to be decided but charities such Radio Lollipop, Simon Says, the Warren Centre, and Scout groups receive funds raised on the night through the Round Table group. Round Table member and organiser Steve Badger said: “Come and support your local charities by having fun with the Southampton Round Table for Fireworks Night.

“It’s a big family event and we keep ticket prices low.

“It’s one of the biggest on the south coast. We are family orientated and that’s why we are successful.

“Buy your ticket for early entry into the park as it is the best place to watch the display.”

Ticket prices are £6 for adults and £4 for under-16s. Under-fives go free.

Buying a ticket also puts you in a prize draw to press the button that starts the explosive display.
