TWO Saints legends have presented a Southampton charity with more than 50 sleeping bags, which will be given to young people faced with homelessness in Hampshire this winter.

Matt Le Tissier and Francis Benali visited the No Limits organisation to make the donation on behalf of the Ex-Saints Association.

The group has spent about £1,000 on funding the 54 sleeping bags for the charity, which supports young people who are in need of help.

It particularly assists those who have found themselves homeless or at risk of homelessness by referring them to support workers or youth housing projects to help find accommodation.

Ex-Saints chairman Mike Thew said: “It’s such a good cause. We asked them what they would like, and they said sleeping bags.

“It’s nice to know this will help give some young people some much-needed warmth.”
